Paradosis Center for Theology and Scripture

Paradosis Center is an independent research center that is hosted by John Brown University and that, in partnership with Baylor University, sponsors the annual Wilken Colloquium. The mission of the Center is to bring together Christians from Catholic, Orthodox, and evangelical backgrounds to have meaningful theological exchanges centered on Scripture in order that we may learn from one another and more fully understand and live out in our North-American context the tradition (paradosis) passed down from the beginning (cf. 2 Thess 2:15). The Center sponsors conferences, lecture series, research projects, student activities, and publications that nourish the ability of our respective communities to understand, appreciate, challenge, and benefit from each other. We hope thereby to enrich each others' ability "to contend for the faith which was once passed down to the Saints" (Jude 1:3) in contemporary North American culture.
